After 5 years of using AB Pest Control, the service has progressively worsened. One issue came to light when I discovered I had been paying for pest control services at one of my shops that hasn’t been treated in almost two years and I was told my the technician I was being charged for it.
The last four times a technician came to our home, large puddles of chemicals were left, and the treatments were ineffective. Instead of seeing fewer pests, we’ve seen an increase in bugs — some species I didn’t even know existed in Missouri. When I called to report these issues, I was given excuses ranging from cold weather to rain washing away the treatment, to even wind being the culprit. Not once was I offered a remedy or an additional visit to fix the problem. When I asked, I was told they were "too busy."
The latest service was the most damaging. They soaked spots on my walls and sprayed my computer station, including my headphones, keyboard, and a $400 monitor that stopped working later that same day. I took pictures and sent them to the company, but when I finally spoke to the owner, it was nothing but excuses. He claimed it was "normal spray" and refused any responsibility. When I mentioned leaving a review, he became hostile, accusing me of breaking my own monitor and saying I was threatening his business his technician would "never do that." He offered to send out his own computer guy to look at the damage, which I refused, given the lack of trust at that point.
To make matters worse, when I called to cancel the service, the secretary said she'd "ask the boss if I could cancel." That was the final straw. It's clear this company doesn't prioritize customer satisfaction at all.
If you look through reviews of other having issues it’s always a “it’s not our fault” kind of response.
I would strongly advise anyone considering AB Pest Control to look elsewhere. Their customer service is severely lacking , and their treatments are not only ineffective but potentially damaging to your property. 0/10 would not recommend.

Just as covered in my initial review I received a bunch of excuses and false information in response to my review. This business really tries to attack anyone that calls them on their lack of performance and professionalism. They stated they did 1 of two of my “shops”. Ot was only the last time they came out and he said I was being charged for my office did they do this. It’s still filled with spiders. This has been the first time out of the last 5 times they have been here that it’s been done. The mist and puddle on my screen is still there (I’m seeking legal counsel after his reply to review, as no company should behave in such unprofessional manner). When I sent the picture to him HE said it was absolutely back spray and this happens all the time and it should not have been enough to cause a problem… Now he states “unsure of what it is”. The “local IT guy” I was told it was someone from their company. The spray is still on my desk and monitor. Fun fact, if you wipe a speck with a wet paper towel it smells very strong of bug spray and does so as long as it is there. Not hard to determine what it is, so I left it on the screen. I was never told to send in a “written request” for cancellation. That seems like a money trap and I never seen that written on any contract. I was very interested to see the reply and excuses and false information that would come about the response. Odd that denial and excuses is this companies preferred tactic to combat negative reviews instead of customer service and fulfillment of services or obligation. 0/10 still would not recommend.

Just realized my $1,700 pc was sprayed to and there are sprays on the outside and down in the vents and on the inside. This is exactly what you DO NOT WANT from a company. For a business that brings people in you home, you think they would care more about potentially ruining something of yours. The white specs in the pictures are dry spray on top. The spots are also inside my case and on my components…

Just had to call and cancel all services for the second time in 3 years. Had an appointment for mid morning. It's now the afternoon and I have had to call twice for updates. Not the other way around as you would expect from a good customer service company to do. Some of us have jobs too. I understand timelines slip but 4 hours and we are the ones that had to call to find out blows my mind. Last time I canceled they were complete no shows multiple times. Some time had passed and we decided to give them another shot as they do good work, when they show up. No show again.

Bert and Lisa and the worst people in business at this lake. Rude, and talk to people with total disregard and disrespect: these losers literally stole $550.00 from me and a larger amount from another person that worked for them. I would NEVER do business with these people. They are dishonest and scammers. Bert the owner literally chased my car down into the road and tried to intimidate me at a stop sign. In a public road. Trash human.
EDIT: that was a personal loan not a payroll loan. Lisa specifically said it would have to be a personal loan not a company loan and would be paid back $100 per week and I was not even given an opportunity to make one payment. My whole paycheck was taken unlawfully. Nowhere did I sign anything saying this loan was a condition of employment: I found a better that pays more and told Berrt that and he took it personally like a child: now the lawyer will handle it

Not nice people to work for. I know 3 former employees who ALL ended the job with Burt screaming and slamming things. Just not nice people.

It is great when professionals quickly respond to your concerns and in this case after I sent a few pictures and describing my concern, they reassured me I didn't have a termite problem. Most would have taken the opportunity to charge for a visit. I will work with AB Pest in the future and recommend them to anyone at the lake! Thanks!

This company should really find quality employees, they did show up on the days they said they were going to be there but never did the job that other companies did, we would have spiders back 3 days after their monthly spraying. I do believe they are a good company but really need to take a look at certain employees not doing their jobs. I bought the same chemical they use and applied myself and have not had any issues. I saved myself over 1300 dollars just doing the job they way it should have been done in the first place.

We had AB Pest Control spray for carpenter ants in a tree three different times. We had called them to come spray a fourth time because the tree still had carpenter ants. The company openly admitted that they had been spraying the tree for regular ants which was the wrong treatment, we were charged and paid for each treatment. AB is claiming that they did not know it was carpenter ants and wanted to charge us again to come spray the correct treatment, to which they should have been using this whole time.
