I am very pleased with the service I have received from Above & Beyond Bedbug Removal from my initial phone call back in December through today when I had my “30 days after” inspection. The staff is very understanding, compassionate, and extremely knowledgeable in this field of work. My problem was taken care of immediately and efficiently. Kudos to Carlos the technician who did my initial inspection, treatment and my 30 day follow-up today. He is extremely professional, friendly, caring, and an expert when it comes to getting the job done! I was very comfortable with Carlos and appreciated all of his knowledge that he shared with me regarding bedbugs and the bedbug extermination process that Above & Beyond Bedbug Removal uses. Carlos made sure that he treated every nook and cranny in my apartment and was gentle with all of my belongings. I purchased the 90 day treatment plan and love that if there are any additional issues (which I hope there is not) that Above & Beyond Bedbug Removal will come back to assist me again. I had an excellent experience with Above and Beyond, and I’m giving them a well-deserved 5 stars! From the moment I called, they made a stressful situation so much more manageable. Carlos (the technician who is amazing) never made me feel ashamed or embarrassed, which was a huge relief. Carlos took the time to explain exactly how bed bugs behave and how I can prevent future infestations, which gave me a better understanding of the problem. He also clearly explained their extermination process, so I knew exactly what to expect. All fees were discussed upfront, so there were no surprises. They even went “above and beyond” by spraying my car to ensure the infestation didn’t spread. The team was incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process. They showed up right on time for every appointment and even agreed to come back to spray the new bed when it was delivered, which I really appreciated. I reside in my current apt. Now for 6 years. I keep my apt. very clean, no clutter what so ever, and am NOT a hoarder! I wash all my bedding and laundry on a “weekly” basis. So for me to discover that I have bedbugs, I was devastated, disgusted, embarrassed, and angry!?. Then I discovered In looking for an exterminator to eradicate the problem. There are many out there. He immediately alleviated any anxiety, stress, and anger, I had about the whole issue of bedbugs. He made me feel worthy in the sense, he “confirmed” his appointment with me, prior to arriving. Informed me in detail about bedbugs, and how they operate, and repeatedly asked me, how am I doing? His “calming” voice, and reassurance about what to expect after, he treated my apt. in detail was priceless! He helped me to stop feeling embarrassed, and instead, made me feel positive about the outcome. I needed additional treatments in my apt. (As he predicted “prior”). I have lived in NYC for over 44 years and never had a bed bug problem. I was shocked and devastated when I discovered the situation in my bedroom! I quickly realized that there was no way that I was equipped to handle this challenge myself! I researched the top 10 exterminators on YELP and I kept coming back to ABOVE AND BEYOND’s website. Something told me to contact them!! Luis, the owner, was kind, sympathetic and jumped into action! This was two days before Christmas mind you!! Carlos arrived the next day and treated my apartment with a breakthrough system involving fungus and super hot steam. They both explained the process and clearly stated what I could expect. So far so good! I have faith in them and know that they will guide me and return to ensure all is eliminated! I highly recommend that you hire PROFESSIONALS and not try to fix the problem yourself! I highly recommend this company! I worked with Luis to set up my initial inspection and treatment and received an immediate response, even though it was a holiday. The tech that came over for inspection and later treatment, Danny, was very informative and patient and answered all of our questions, and calmed our fears while being very direct and honest about the situation. Luckily our issue was not too severe but everyone we worked with took the matter very seriously and gave us several options to consider for treatment. After treatment we were given a generous warranty agreement that (thankfully!) we have not had to use so far as we have not seen any signs of infestation since treatment over a month ago. This company uses Apprehend which is much more effective than the standard approach that many extermination companies use so you will be in good hands.

Woke up with bites on a Sunday morning. Found Above and Beyond on Google, called them right away and was pleasantly surprised when Liz picked up the phone. She asked for a photo of my bites and said that it indeed looked like bedbugs. Danny, one of their technicians was here within an hour and half of me calling (early on a Sunday morning!) and was very thorough. Being that it was early detection, he gave me options as to how to approach treatment. I decided to treat right away rather than wait. The company uses Aprehend which is a bio-pesticide that kills the bugs and the eggs while preventing them from coming back. I didn’t have to bag up everything I own—just do my dirty laundry and bedding—and everything is done within 4 hours. My treatment also comes with a 3 month guarantee. Luis, Liz & Danny couldn’t have gone Above & Beyond more than they have for me. Everything started with my sharing of pictures of suspected bed bug bites, which they promptly responded to. Within hours they sent Danny to perform a physical inspection of my apartment and, at my request, had a 3rd party dog sniffing company come to perform a deeper inspection by end of day.

The dog did detect something so I reached back out to Above & Beyond the following day. They helped me to navigate the conversation of cost with my landlord and Luis did everything he could to try and offset some of the fees I would need to incur by going with their form of treatment over a chemical treatment process that my landlord wanted to use.

They returned that very day to perform the treatment and it was way less painful an exercise than I experienced 15 years ago
