Here’s my honest review of Chet's. I canceled your service two years ago, yet you still send me emails asking for a review. So, here it is.

I was a customer for many years, paying $80 every two months. Overall, the service itself wasn’t bad, which is what most people here seem to be reviewing. But let me explain why I canceled and why this review is far from glowing.

You tried to scam me. Plain and simple. You told me I needed to tent my entire house for a termite infestation and quoted me $2,800. On top of that, your team used high-pressure sales tactics, warning me about rising costs and trying to rush me into making a decision. Thankfully, I decided to double-check. I hired a state-licensed inspector, someone who specializes in home inspections for the real estate industry.

The verdict? There was no termite infestation. Instead, there were two small, localized areas that the inspector pointed out. They even told me exactly how to handle it, which I did for a grand total of $30. That was two years ago, and I haven’t had a single issue since.

I still have both your written quote and the inspector’s written report. Honestly, I could’ve taken you to court for attempting to defraud me and your other customers.

Instead of leaving a robotic, copy-paste response you’re probably planning, maybe it’s time for your company to get its act together. Do honest business. Update your logistics so you’re not pestering people who canceled years ago. You wanted a review? Well, here it is.

Using Chets for 13 years... always wonderful Debbie and the price is so reasonable. I once made the mistake of cutting corners on the budget by not using pest control and learned the hard way the value of having regular service. I've had Yunior working here for years and he's always courteous and caring, and willing to listen to my concerns and treat them.

Chet’s been treating us good for some time now, but honestly, I put this review down about their consistency in customer relation. In the time we have been with them we have only dealt with one tech, allowing that tech to be in-tune with the specific workings of our environment. Incompetent technician operating off of W. Powhatan Ave, absolutely refused to be professional in communication. When asked to move his vehicle, obvious aggression was visible in his tone. I will not ever give Chet's Pest another look for anything.

I just had Karl come by to look at a suspicious spot. I am so impressed! I previously used Rick Ricker and I felt like they gave me the run around, weren’t helpful at all, and did nothing to troubleshoot potential issues. Within 5 minutes Karl offered me concrete steps to take to mitigate entry of flying termites, something RR refused to do, or simply didn’t know. He also was very reassuring that my suspicious spot was nothing to be concerned with. I will be using Chet’s for all my future treatment needs.

Working with Chets was one of the worst customer experiences we have encountered in a long while. Rescheduling initial appointments was our first upfront issue. On the day of vacating the property, they told us to be out by 8am. At 5pm that day, no one had showed up to tent the property. When we called to inquire, that let us know that they SUBCONTRACT tenting, which was not disclosed. Then in a hurried rush to finish the job they neglected to tent out guest house, which was part of the extermination plan we had laid out. Once this was realized upon our return to our property several days later, they told us we would have to be out of our house for an ADIITIONAL 4-5 days while they redid the guest house. When we asked for compensation for their mistake, in the form of a refund or a maintenance credit, they never got back to us with ANY solution for retaining us as customers, despite calling them 4-5 times to resolve. Is this the type of company you would want to trust your home with for fumigation, while you are away?

Honest Reviews

I was told that the pest control is month by month and I can cancel any time. The termite contract is yearly turns out this is not the case! Every contract is on a yearly contract. Very dishonest! That is not ok and then all they tell you it's in the contract! So don't trust what they tell you.

Clearly I should not have trusted your staff and what your staff told me. Yes It was my mistake to just signing and trusting your company. I will not make the same mistake twice. I am sorry yoru staff miss lead me my apologies.
