Do not use their bat removal service. It is a waste of your time and money and their inability to resolve the problem puts your family and pets at risk of exposure to rabid bats.

We found a bat inside our home and called them out in early 2024. They claimed to not find any colony and they sealed up all entry points. Several months later we found another bat in the house. They came out and found they missed sealing a spot and there was a large colony that they could not remove yet due to the season and baby bats. Finally in late 2024 they got them out and sealed up the house again.

Now it’s January 2nd 2025 and I get a call from home with screams of panic because a bat is flying around the living room. I rushed home and it was like a scene out of Dracula with a bat flying at high speeds around the living room and dive bombing me as I wildly tried to catch it with a fishing net. Thankfully I got it and took it outside. But I don’t feel safe in my own home and these pest control “professionals” have failed to live up to what I paid them to do. The fact that this is multiple attempts to get it right and admission of mistakes has me irate. I’m still awaiting a call back from the manager to address my concerns. Please find a real professional company if you have bat issues. Killum is NOT the company to use.

Update: I have spoken with 2 people and they have no sense of urgency for resolving the issue. They can fit me in 6 days from now. When I complained that having potentially rabid animals in my home that their service should have prevented from happening deserved a little more urgency on their part I was asked “What exactly do you expect from us?”. For starters, I expected better customer service. Really would like to track down the owner to let him know what a horrible experience this has been.

We like the overall service, but the reason we didn't give five stars is they always step on my flowers in my flower bed when they come. I tell them each time, but each time it's a different person coming out. I also ask for them to text or call one day before they come out (not when they're already here), but they never do.

Killum Pest Control was very quick to answer our inquiry for termite treatment, they were fast to give us a quote, and they were fast to install the Sentricon bait stations.
We found the dreaded Formosan termites in our electrical conduit and breaker box which presented its own challenges. Specifically, Jesus, Frank and Genevieve were very helpful, very informative, very adaptable, and very honest with us. We could not recommend these folks and this company more. Everyone we spoke with on the phone was friendly, kind and helpful.
The Sentricon bait stations killed and completely eliminated our termite colony in just over 3 months. We knew it could take some time (6+ months) to be effective because the termites have to first find the bait station. But, the termites quickly found our bait station, and they ate nearly an entire stick of bait within the first 5 weeks of the bait being installed - some of the folks from Killum could not believe the bait station was almost completely gone in such short time (see photo). These Formosan termites are relentless. 7 weeks after they had eaten almost an entire bait, there was no more termite activity, and only decapitated termites remained on the bait (see photo). The colony was gone, and we felt like we had our home back!
Going with Killum Pest Control was the best choice we’ve made since owning this new construction home - built in 2019. No home is immune from termites, and Houston building code does not require builders to pre-treat the soil for termites before building. We will be keeping our preventative termite treatments with Killum Pest Control for as long as we own this home. Texas homeowner insurance does not cover termite damage, so call Killum for your treatment options.
